Sheela-Na-Gigs

This is another church that is sometimes listed as having a sheela. I used to live near here for several years and knew nothing of this church. When I re-visited having heard about the sheela I was able to find two figures that might loosely be thought of as sheelas but they are exhibitionists.

The first is an androgynous figure with legs apart at a painful angle and may well be an acrobat.

The second is similar but may have a small depression in the area of the vagina.

Both are interesting and easy to find, there is one on each side of the outer order of the door arch
