It’s all about me

I was born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire and on leaving school at sixteen I joined the RAF as an Aerospace Systems Operator. I left at the age of 30 and soon after trained to be a psychiatric nurse. I continued in this field, working with drug and alcohol users, until I was able to retire.

I have always had a lot of hobbies and still maintain a few. I am a photographer, I love food, I love single malt whiskies and I enjoy using the computer. I am also tracing my family history. Other hobbies include wood-turning, birdwatching, writing and model making. I don’t claim to be expert, or even very good, at any of them but I enjoy trying.

I currently live in Pickering, North Yorkshire with my wife.

That’s it, mostly.
